Neuromarketing: Are We Being Manipulated?

Do you ever find yourself making irrational purchases? Well, it may not be your fault. Marketers know that the key to getting you to buy doesn’t involve the rational side of your brain and focuses on the primal brain. Which consists of two layers middle brain, which has to do with emotions and feelings. Along with the reptilian structure, which has to do with instinct and survival.

The primal brain affects behavior due to the nature of the two layers. As marketers are aware after years of neuromarketing research, they know that they have to use it to their advantage. Marketing products and services in a way that either produces some kind of emotion or targets survival instincts and even sometimes both. So next time you feel the need to make an irrational purchase remember it may just be because it’s targeting our human nature.
